Sound Mind's Road to Recovery at the Black Cat Wednesday April 20, 2022

The Chapter has been invited to host an information table at  Sound Mind's Road to Recovery program at the Black Cat on the evening of Wednesday April 20. Sound Mind brings together musicians, music lovers, and forward-thinking organizations to build community and open dialogue around mental health - leveraging the power of music to catalyze social change.  The concert on April 20th will feature Indigo De Souza an American singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina.   This is an excellent opportunity for DBSA get its message out into the community and the first of what we hope will be additional opportunities to let people know about the life saving work we do.   We are looking for two volunteers to help staff the table; please contact Eric Scharf at escharf@dbsalliance.org for more information.

DBSA NCA Peer Support Meetings

DBSA NCA has resumed in person meetings at three of our locations; DC, Beltsville and Southern PG County.  Other locations will restart at a later date. See our chapter website calendar for more information about both the in person and virtual meetings offered on Zoom.

Please note that peer groups are for people living with depression and bipolar disorder. The Friends and Family group is for friends and family members of those living with depression or bipolar disorder (or other mental illnesses) to share the challenges of that relationship.
The group locations indicated for virtual groups denote where these groups have met previously. Peers may opt to participate in any of the peer groups. To join peer groups you use the same link to access any meeting at its scheduled time. The Friends and Family group (first and third Wednesday evenings) has a different link for its meetings.. Please let us know of any difficulties via hello@dbsanca.org.
See our Support Groups page for up-to-date information on in person and virtual groups.
