    Support Group Guidelines

We are a unique and intelligent group of individuals who are here for strength, empathy, vision, and compassion. We all have problems. We don't all have solutions. We are here to share and grow from others and learn more about ourselves.

    Equality
Share the air, don't monopolize group time.

    Confidentiality
What we say and who we see are confidential.

    Responsibility
It is up to each participant to make the discussion group a safe place to share.

    Diversity
Differences of opinion are OK. No shaming or blaming.

    "I" Language
We are not here as medical professionals. We are here as patients in need of support. We do not instruct or advise. We are here to share our personal and unique experiences.
Ex 'in my experience "I"...—not 'if "I" were you, "I" would...

    Empathy/Compassion
It is OK not to share. Show each person respect and kindness.

    Stigma
Fight it through our shared experiences and similarities.
